This bronze sculpture was cast using a modified lost wax process called ice casting. The artist made it in honor of his mother, who was always full of love. The suggestion of wings is subtle yet graceful, while the colors are a combination of traditional patinas and contemporary stains. It is coated with wax to maintain its luxurious shine. It is mounted on the grainy interior slice of a black walnut burl, sanded and stained by the artist.
